Welcome to Sharda Mandir, Aurangabad
There was not a single school in marathwada till 1915 which would impart education in Marathi Medium. There were urdu medium schools during the rein of nizam, therefore S.B. Educational Organisation was established in 1915-16.
Girls had to go to urdu medium schools. Parents who were in favour of education would send their daughters to school but the number was very less. Girls used to undergo mental stress and therefore an independent school for girls was established in 1916 named Sharda Mandir Girls School on the auspicious occassion of the birth anniversary of Shri Krishna.
Along with the syllabus, patriotism and moral values are also taught in the school. As the organisation had undertaken to carryout the overall development of the students keeping in mind the changes occuring in the life style of the society, students pass out the school fully equiped to face the society. The increasing number of the students in the school gives out the true picture of the popularity of the organisation.
Success in all examinations is the main quality of our school. On Techers's Day, a cash prize of 1 Lac rupees was given to Saraswati Bhuvan Educational Organisation by the Governer. Shri Sharda Mandir Girls school is a branch of this organisation and we are proud of it.
OUR INSPIRATION
Late Shri Govindbhai Shroff
Born:24th July, 1911 Died:21st November, 2002
While the society is expanding and getting more and more plural, there is urgent need for cultivating a sense of co-existence, tolerance and respect for the views of others. In other words, it is necessary to "learn to live together ". Our present system of education, is mostly directed to accumulating and learnings'information' and to some extent
"learning to do" by assimilatings the information and developing skills. Both these learnings are vital for developing the individual, but do not necessarily help him to be responsible citizen, a builder of harmonious and caring society and to national integration. It is therefore imperative that ways and means to be found as to how to introduce this third dimension in our education system.
